Pakistan Floods & US Aid

Pakistan is recovering from the worst natural disaster of its history. Despite appeals from UN and other concerned countries the global response to this disaster has been less than enthusiastic. For the U.S., a strong response to help the Pakistani people is particularly important, given its bilateral partnership and the image deficit America suffers in Pakistan. USAID's official Mark Ward explained that America realizes the importance of its relation with Pakistan and that's why it was the first country to help Pakistan after the floods. USIP's Moeed Yusuf praised American help for the flood victims in Pakistan and also emphasized on the Pakistani government to make its image better in front of the world.
