Martin Nava, Director of Community Health for Old Timers Foundation asks federal officials to support the creation of a national recreation area in the San Gabriel Mountains to provide recreation, green space and Transit to Trails for park poor communities of color and low income communities who disproportionately suffer from obesity and diabetes in South East Los Angeles.
