The footage is from April 2011. The building will be demolished to make room for the Performing Arts Center in Orlando, FL.
The building was designed by one of Orlando's first modernists, Bob Murphy. Murphy studied at Harvard during the tenure of Walter Gropius. Another notable modernist, Frank Sheehy, assisted Murphy on the project early in his career. The firm that Murphy founded in Orlando later became Hunton Brady architects. The original 2 story structure was constructed in 1963 by Jack Jennings and Sons. The upper floors above the diamond patterned concrete bris soleil were added in a later addition.
