  • people would never think this guy plays in yellowcard.everybody thinks that yellowcard is just some teen band, they wouldnt expect them to be as talented as they really are.

  • they were just a teen band but they matured. i wish they would end their hiatus already...

  • People should notice that Yellowcard is not a teen band and they got talent if u don't think so listen to the amazing drumming of LP, the style for playing the violin of Sean, the voice of Ryan and the guitar riffs of mendez. I really hope they come back from their hiatus soon!!!

  • How did he get the echo at the end? Is he using an effects pedal? Now that's a solo! Ryan is 1 of my fav guitarists out there. He has an awesome sound and he's really talented. Ryan Key is great on rhythm but Mendez tops him on lead. If it wasn't 4 him there's no way Paper walls would've sounded the same. He's better than Ben Harper.

  • @YCFAN123 Really? I thought everyone liked them equally? Anyway, I personally think they are both excellent guitarists. If you think Ben is a bad guitarist, you obviously haven't listened to songs like Empty Apartment, Life Of A Salesman, or Gifts and Curses. Now, just because he isn't cracking a solo all the time, doesn't mean he is incapable of doing so. Furthermore, I feel like Ben was slightly more versatile in his guitar work. That's just my opinion of course, you don't have to agree.

  • @YCFAN123 That's funny because they were already close their mid twenties when Ocean Avenue came out, and everyone found out about them.

  • This solo is not too difficult. Ben also play this. Every experienced guitarist he could play such asolo. Even Ryan Key.

Besides, were it not for Ben, Ryan Key would not be in this team, because it's Ben Harper suggested the rest of the team to take Ryan.

Ryan Mendez is also good, but it's not a reason to dishonor Ben. Ben had a lot of merit for Yellowcard, so why don't you like him?

Ben is my favorite guitarist. I respect the Ryan Mendez, but i don't really like him.

  • @YCFAN123 this guy used to play in staring back. staring back is a better band and showed off his guitar playing better than yellowcard's style

  • wow that was really clean

  • shit.. that's AMAZING..

i thing Ben Harper can do that too..

  • He sort of resembles Brendon Small...

  • Shallow but impressive. Pretty clean too

  • @skrewball I would argue both ways. Im blown away he was sweeping. At the same time, i can sweep too i can tap too i can shred too, and alot better than he can at least in this sequence. Its impressive because of the band he is in, but not very impressive overall. Idk there was no emotion involved and it was just random shred technique back to back to back for one minute =/ not feeling it.

  • Man that guitar musta been having a hardcore orgasm !!!
