I just love this lovely song.I have been trying to get the backing track for a long time without any success. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.Thought this post was worth a try
One of my favorite songs and have not heard it in many years. Had it on a 45 back in 1975. I was on active duty in the USNR in 1967 but came home on leave to Wayne, NJ in August. Family lived just off of Black Oak Ridge Road. Where was the HiHo Club?
ok for the record, my dad, Donald F Mullen Sr. wrote this song to my mom, circa 1967, HiHo Club, Wayne, NJ. I was 5, my Dad, operated the HiHo Club back then - perhaps Monkee Mike Nesbith visited there's another verse
But like I said I don't think of you much,
there's someone beside me
who helps me forget
he's shown me how
not to think of you now
and whether I remember you
I won't forget
how we didn't hold on to the dreams that we shared
This song....oh my goodness....from 30+ years ago.....it was for someone who things just didn't work out for the two of us. Like the song says...I really don't think of him much...and I am better off now, without him, but for all of the pain, I would love him again...for I really have never loved anyone more....thank you for posting.

Actually Lynn Anderson first recorded this song in 1975. It is still one of my all-time favorite country songs.
