Part 2 of 3-- Topic: feminizing of America. Face the Nation, looking to broaden it's appeal trumps up this subject for your consideration. In his book, Bob Schieffer says it's the first and last time they interviewed a cross dresser for the show. Too bad, because Boy George made more sense than the rest of the panel. Not a new topic for TV or even rock, apparently nobody on the panel had heard of Little Richard.
Gore Vidal chimes in- along with Jerry Falwell. From 1984--

Yes, and who was that Marlene Dietrich person who took to dressing in suits and giving flowers to women -- did she sing or act or something?

5:30-5:34,Is the BEST part of Jerry Falwell speaking. The BEST!!!! I lived through the 1980s and this is indicative of how society generally was. Everyone was always QUESTIONING their sexuality , etc., etc. Has anything changed, Oh wait, Will & Grace, Brokeback Mountain, Queer Eye for The Straight Guy ( YES!!! Gay visibility ).
Does this make us more of a target or are we banding together as a tribe to FIGHT close-minded bigots and cowardly bullies are we going to ACT-UP!

Haven't heard of Little Richard, or this man named David Bowie, who I heard sings or something.
