The concept for the Iphone and Blackberry came from watching the alien show "V" in 1983. The alien's used a handheld device with a keyboard and a camera which the design is based on. When The Woz asked me why I thought they might be interested I told him that NASA used ideas from Star Trek. This was years after I named the internet service World Wide Web and came up with the concept of an "address".

@AKAsh12321 I came up with the concept of the Blackberry first, but since I had been working with The Woz and Bill Gates since '83 on the internetwork which they passed on to The Brain (CERN), they let me name the Iphone and Ipod. The name came from Alan Parson's I Robot (based on Isaac Asimov's I Robot) and having worked with Will Simth asked him to be in I Robot based on the book. I named the Ipod after naming the band P.O.D. who I wrote songs for and named for Mork's egg pod (Mork & Mindy)

Great guy! I met him today when he came to Rutgers and he also told us how he had been using Siri for quite some time. He was wearing that watch which is pretty neat and he even signed my iPhone 4 and my iPad 1!

woz is right! siri is one of the new features of iphone 4s and NOT the iOS 5. nobody can outsmart the man who hand built the first integrated computer system. ;)
