@libetta I'm not too big a fan of the transcriptions on the CD, but I do like his playing. Personally, the reason I got into him was his recording of the Liszt-Beethoven symphonies.

you should enjoy his strauss cd then

Too slowly...

Scherbakov is an amazing pianist.

It's really violent at 3:28 for some reason. Cziffra downplays the final two notes to make the change from major to minor less noticeable, which I think is right. There's no modulating bridge and the ending sounds really off.

whahaha :P awsome.. at the end booooooommm!! and thann.. realy soft.. tu dumm :P the last 2 notes :P..
outstanding preformance :)
-
the only kind of stuff he can play, fast and furious.. BUT he does it in an astonishing manner
-
You know... my god, this is the only recording of a Cziffra transcription I've actually enjoyed. Scherbakov needs to be more famous than he is. Much more famous.

Oui, et je crois que ses interprétations de Liszt sont impressionnantes, aussi.
Évidemment, ses mains sont énormes...

Cziffra would have been proud.

this is unbelievable.
you know, it sounds more "correct" than the notes given in the cziffra edition sheets.
