Assorted bits of ZZ TOP ("Just Got Paid" "Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings"), THE WHO ("The Seeker" "The Punk Meets The Godfather"), FREE ("Mr. Big"), RUSH ("Bastille Day") and whatever else. Les Paul plugged into input 1 (normal voiced channel), then out of the amp into a 16ohm THD Hotplate set to -8db, then into a 4x12 loaded with 25 watt Greenback reissues. The amp volume is on 10. And no, I didn't plan on wearing a red shirt for this, it's purely accidental lameness. You can see, hear & know some more at http://www.reverbnation.com/werewolfafro

  • How do you like the Hot Plate ? I read you lose tone. It sounds excellent through my computer speakers

  • @hapmoore1 I used the Hotplate for a long time and while it did color the sound a bit, especially at lower volumes, my biggest complaint was that it's volume control was segmented. There were many times that the volume I was looking for was unavailable because the Hotplate setting was either a too loud or a too quiet. I ended up getting "The Leash" by BadCat. It has a non-segmented volume and colors the sound even less. The only drawback is needing AC power for the fan.

  • How did you get that gain without plugging the inputs?

  • @DaveRingle I just plugged into the top left input and turned it up.

  • It can't be a real 56, the top and the binding are from the early 80s....Sweet axe still and some great jamming bro...

  • @PappysThinkChamber It was a 1956 goldtop with P90s until someone stripped and refinished it along with routing it for humbuckers. It's not a stock 1956, but I love how it plays, looks and sounds.

  • How much would a 73 superbass go for nowadays?

  • Sounds Great

  • DAT TONE

  • Great playing and tone. Some people really get it, you're one of em'.

  • It's old wood though, the best part is old wood and good necks

  • @vdbdg

I dont usually fell like doin the "thats what she said" thing

    but man...

  • @PappysThinkChamber If it's a real '56 then someone has butchered it by routing out the pup bays and installing humbuckers as well as sanding the top back to the timber and re-painting it.

Why do such a thing to a classic Les Paul. I much prefer P-90s over humbuckers. My '56 is a touch noisy BUT it's worth it for the beautiful tone. Hardly noticeable at gigging volume.

  • Nice and thick. I wouldn't mind if u moved in the apartment next door.
