great version

I don't see it having all the power of the Springsteen version, but I gotta fucking admit, he has a passion and energy lie unto that of a goddam GOD.

This is better than Springsteen's
Ted Leo rocks!

Hi Can you email how to play this great song and the great job he plays it in this video? I dont understand xxx04xx xxx06xx etc....thanks.

WOW.. Happened across this by accident.. Nice job! he is the boss, but i like a little harder.. cant tell from the accoustic crap, but new songs that are starting out nice. Anyway! Great! Maybe we all play someday!

when i was going to see ted leo at the diesel club lounge, he cancelled at the last minute. i'm not in any way bitter about it, because i know ted's steadfastly loyal to his fanbase, and probably cancelled for a solid reason. still, it's videos that these that make me wonder...just so exceptional! he manages to compress all the energy of the entire e-street band into a guitar and a voice.(and one of my particular favorite guitars at that...i'd surely purchase one if i had the necessary funds.)

close....
A then xxx04xx then xxx06xx
A then xxx04xx then xxx06xx then xxx04xx then xxx02xx
Then D
chorus is just E, D and Bm

I love how the lyrics to this song really sound like something Ted Leo could have written... sort of in the spirit of "Colleen" or "Who Do You Love" off of Living With the Living.

I'm pretty sure Ted is covering Dancing in the Dark, not Backstreets.....
