This problem is the reason my 106" Husky didn't make it back to the ground in one piece. This failure happened in the air. This is the second of these ESC's that has failed in this manner

sure it sure look to be the esc problem and there's a recall for all the ice esc, but anything can happen the best can be the worst in some case, i do own few of the ice esc and they seem to be working just fine. will send it back, they will give you a new one for sure if that's the case.... good luck

Hey mate I´m sorry about that, did you verify solder joints on the esc, have you tried to change timing, switching or pole number options on the castle creation?

Wow! Those are big... I'm still learning with the little ones... One day I hope to be able to fly something that big.
Great informational video!

I bought a Castle Mamba Monster esc and it died on the second day.I put a Castle Phoenix ice esc in my heli and it occasionally drops from the sky like a rock.I switched to a Ez run esc in my truck and have had no issues.I put an Align esc in my heli and I have no more problems.Castle really needs to get their act together.I will never buy another CC product.

Hope this works out for you. I'd be pretty steamed.
I have heard so many similar stories and personally saw a t-rex 700 go down running one of the castle brand ESC's that I've decided to avoid them and go with a brand that has a good reputation. Heard good things about kontronic, expensive but on a $2000 heli I can't afford crap hardware like this causing a crash.

I had a phoenix-25 and the same thing happened, it turned out that one of the solder joints in the bullet connectors on the wires going to the motor had come loose. I re-soldered it and it worked fine. Could this be your problem?

Hey man sry bout the controller i happen to work for castle and we get this problem alot it is most likely a short that just didn't get caught in testing, we're still only a 50 employee company pushing thousands of controller per month out the door and we only have one customer repair tech, so please hang in there. i now this doesn't help but yeah and stuff, lol
