Connecticut State Unemployment HANGS UP On New Claim Filers

Connecticut State Unemployment wastes 4 minutes and HANGS UP on new claim filers. Wonder why jobless claims are down? They only allow websites submissions to be done during business hours. When I filled it out, and got to the end, it said they were having "Technical Difficulties" and couldn't process the form. I tried calling the number SEVERAL TIMES today, and after wasting a bunch of time they HANG UP, without even letting me wait on hold. What is the reason behind a website that is only open during business hours? Where is the incentive for the phone clerks to work quickly if the system just drops the calls if they don't?

Its ridiculous. I call and do their 20 questions thing and when i was done they keep hanging up, saying its too busy. I tried like 10 more times and finally it told me to hold. Luckily i had speaker phone so i didnt have to hold it to my ear the whole time because it took over an hour and a half for someone to pick up. What a terribly unorganized setup.

@JabberCT Congratulations on getting through! Now you just have to play the weekly 2121212121212121 game. Note that if you pick up side work, then you can either be dishonest, not report the extra income, and file quickly,... or you can report it, and repeatedly get hung up on waiting for an agent. I wonder what most people do.

Wow. So your unemployment us just as bad as California's. You should watch my video. California's automated system just tells you random numbers and you seriously never get anywhere.

It does this shit to me all the time. Even worse is i tried to call yesterday and after all this it tells me that because my ssn ends in an 8 i have to call back on a different day. Wtf is that just because mine ends in an 8 i have to wait. I say shenanigans

we got the same problem out here in California, automatic phone traps. you spend 20 minutes going through the automated system just to hear due to the ## of callers we cannot assist you try your call later (all day its like that.)
