The WhiteSox are immediately regretting this acquisition. Now you basically have to bench a superstar.
The Reds just couldn't do it.
3 RBI and 2 runs scored in August.

Absolute total bust in Cincinnati. Nothing good to speak of.
-
The slumping solo Griffey the Reds had for 9 years didn't help matters either.

Umm, 20 Griffey's (in their prime...) wouldn't have helped the Reds. Their manager couldn't win w/ that 2003 Cubs team. Their out-going GM sucked, now they have Walt Jockety, there's a start. They suck. Why wouldn't Griffey want to come to a contender ..?
Are you referring to Griffey's first at bat of the game or his first at bat with the Sox? I forgot the date of the first game he played with them, but I know he had a hit.

His first at bat at the cell.

Same old griffey...strike -out. Wait till he stars loafing to first and short running pop flys. Glad he is in Chicago. He did nothing to help the Reds.

I respect your feelings about Griffey. But I want to say, maybe the Reds needed better pitching and other things. We learned that lesson the hard way when we got Albert Belle.
We you get a power hitter, he will strike out. Plus, in Griffey's defence, he cursed with a shitload of injuries. So, all that aside, the Reds could've done somethings else.
But, I must state I do respect your opinion.
