Socialism was an "ism" like many other "ism" was sent by Satan to confuse the people. It is a false copy of the Word of God. Yes it is true that Jesus condemned the love of wealth and commanded his followers to help the poor, the sick and children and to teach the people about him. It is because the PEOPLE have FAILED to do that is why government DOES. The PEOPLE are lazy or greedy or self serving and they let government do their job for them.

Two words: Social Gospel. Walter Rauschenbusch outlines an amazing few of how the christian faith ought to take a more liberal path. Even demonstrates how God and Jesus would condemn money.

@Loejyrrab I don't support the war in Iraq. I'm a libertarian. the point is I don't believe in wealth redistribution. government has good intentions. especially socialist governments preaching about the collective interest, but it simply doesn't work. it goes against human nature. The only collective effort that works is in the family unit because we actually care about those people. this extends outside my family to a certain few people including close friends. outside of that it doesn't work.

@jubeikiba6 With the money Bush blew to invade and occupy Iraq & Afghanistan for all these years we could have provided health care to all our citizens for 1,000 yrs.
i would argue that capitalism is the only thing which has increased the standard of living of poor people over the last century...

Hilarity ensues-Mr Mattera yet again tries to play Progressives for fools and for his trouble all he gets is how completely foolish he himself looks.
This video-of this sweet lady nicely talking to you a "liberal Christian" is the perfect counterpoint to the hate filled spittle chinned tea partiers "conservative Christians". Thanks for posting-I'm going to share in with all my friends.
