Some examples of the effects of "Hailstorm", a LEGO Zamor-launcher. It uses a single motor (here, an NXT motor) to drive two crankshafts. Each crankshaft in turn drives two Zamor launchers, for a total of four launchers operating in a carefully staggered phasing that launches 9+ balls each second (with new batteries... yes, it matters). Making the structure & mechanism strong and rigid enough to handle the stresses (you can see it flex during the slow motion parts). This is an evolution of the DAZLR and QuAZLR launching mechanism, but much tighter packing of launchers, and a much larger ammo magazine.

  • where did u get the zamor launche i liked

  • @multimindstormarjun From older Bionicle sets, around the time the Zamor spheres were introduced. The newer launchers are OK, but do not lend themselves to being automated with a motor, and are lower "muzzle velocity" as well. You can certainly still order them off Bricklink.

  • Did you know that green legos are the most rare of all lego bricks?

  • @andrevenger Actually... they're not. Marsek blue is probably close, and pink and several shades of purple are fairly uncommon, but there's plenty of green out there (even some green Technic, which is rare... both studless elements and even a gear in green).

  • @brdavis5 When LEGO bricks were first made they decided that there would be no green bricks as they thought children would make army stuff then it passed

  • @Ovingtonqth I have to point out here that green isn't the LEGO color of combat... it's called "grass". It's been around in sets for some time, and one of the principle baseplate colors is green. Where did you get your information that TLG refused to produce green bricks due to a worry about "military" models? Considering they made guns as far back as western cowboys & indian sets.

  • Awesome! That is why Lego is the ultimate toy, it allows for brilliant pieces of engineering and the thought processes that go with it.

    Respect!
