A NiteRider MiNewt X2 compared to a Cateye EL-135 - both in blink mode. (I believe NiteRider calls theirs "commuter mode")

While the Cateye is a very respectable blinky both day and night, the MiNewt is handy on really bright days or if you feel like tilting the odds a bit at night and sharing the road with temporarily blind automobile drivers.

  • great vid, but try one where you're farther from the bike so we can gauge how far the light shines

  • Nice video! bit harsh to compare these two tho. The 135 goes for £20 ($40) and the MiNewt X2 goes for £166 lol Nice video tho :D

  • Just got my Minewtx2 400 lumen set up yesterday. The thing is well built, easily installed and better than anything I've had yet!

    Very happy with it!
