In this second tutorial video about how to create a Windows Phone 7 game, I start the basics of our game MangoLander - the example project we are using to learn about Windows Phone 7, XNA, and game programming in general. New episodes semi-regularly - SUBSCRIBE FOR UPDATES.

Please like/comment/favorite! Best viewed in 720p.

MangoLander is an homage to both the Mango update for Windows Phone, and the classic arcade game Lunar Lander.

  • is there a part two?

  • @CreativiaGames I'm putting up new episodes all the time - "Part 1" in the title refers to the Physics section. The next episode (Ep 3) introduces some more Physics concepts (and it thus titled Physics Part 2).

  • great videos! I learned a lot, but how did you actually made the sprite? I just can't make it transparent.

  • @idelta777 How do you mean? I used Photoshop, which can handle transparency; then save it as a PNG file. What software are you using?

  • Hey guys, appreciate the comments so far! It's thanksgiving and I'm in the process of moving house, so the next video is a little delayed. Should be up early next week.

  • Sorry about the audio hum in this one. I just got a new computer, so still getting used to the different sound card :)
