@realjason4567 I'm not going to answer that because as long as those things keep the bus running, who cares what the bus has in terms of the engine and transmission. Thanks anyway for asking.
-
@htownman24 one thing is to be a fan of a particular bus or a fan of engines. besides would you actually think that a person that would care less about buses would even bother coming to this site??? One question: are you a fan of buses or their engines and transmissions,or both????
-
@realjason4567 F.Y.I., any normal person could care less about the interior design and engine sound. Folks like you and I would care but others don't, BTW.
-
@htownman24 well it depends if you are talking about engines and transmissions then of Course you are right but we are talking about interior dessign and engine sound (Houstons models ONLY)
-
@Dredgephantom2 AMEN!!!!
-
@Dredgephantom2 No, the D40LF WAS but the LFR and even the LFAs are better than that bus (just talking about New Flyer here).
-
@realjason4567 F.Y.I., they do NOT make the windows look nice. Maybe on the D40LFs but not on any other local bus METRO has.
-
@realjason4567 In case you totally missed it, there ARE taller people who DO ride the bus. My comment still stands that I don't like the pull cords and it does obstruct some people's view---in some way, form, or fashion. METRO is NOT like any other transit agency and that not all buses are created equal. I hate the D40LF bus but if I have to ride one, then so be it.
As the title states, this is a New Flyer DE41LFR bus. West may have the new Orions, none are used for the Quickline service.
nice!
