Vodka Collins, Walkin' The Dog

The godfathers of seventies Tokyo glam punk Vodka Collins on their reunion tour in 1997 at the Yokohama Jazz and Blues festival. The band do the Rufus Thomas classic "Walkin' The Dog" in their trademark loose and ragged style.
Alan Merrill (vocals & guitar), Monsieur Kamayatsu (vocals & guitar), Mabo (Bass), Hiroshi Oguchi (drums).
The band's drummer can be seen as the star in the 2006 Japanese hit feature film "Strange Circus."

Alan Merrill the lead singer of Vodka Collins just did this song at the Mississippi Day picnic party in Central Park in New York with the Jon Paris group June 5, 2010. The band were great and Alan still has the voice and energy of a 25 year old.

@fabnekko Actually his main perfomance was on August 11th, where he closed the show. He got two encores and was amazing. There are lots of photos on his website photo album.

@Primalonna- Alan Merrill will be in Japan this August 12th 2010 to perform at the Joe Yamanaka benefit at Club Crocodile in Tokyo. He will be on stage with Monsieur Kamayatsu and Take Yokouchi founding members of Vodka Collins, so it will be a kind of band reunion.

They did the reunion at Tokyo Duo Music Exchange 1/25/10 and everybody who was there says it was great.

There will be a memorial concert in Tokyo next month (1-25-10) for Hiroshi Oguchi at Duo Music Exchange. Vodka Collins original members will appear with Grico (Tensaw) on drums.
