  • Um dude, she was 31, I just read her obituary. Pamela Laffin started smoking at age 10. She died at age 31. She was waiting for a 2nd lung transplant and died in her driveway with her 2 young daughters holding her hand. She didn't want to go to the ER b/c she was at the top of the transplant list and if she went to the ER (for some reason) she'd be knocked to the bottom of the list. A very sad story but a very preventable death. I've been smoke free for 11 days after smoking for almost 2 yrs.

  • by starting to smoke at 10 years old, she was NOT making an informed decision. She was just a kid. I'm sure that by the time she was truly and devastatingly addicted to the 1000+ chemicals that tobacco companies infuse into their tobacco to make it more addictive, it was impossibly difficult to quit. It's not like there are affordable re-hab clinics available for smokers.

  • @metalfab16 It's both their faults. And why do you think they wanted to smoke? Companies have money, they can endorse people to make a person think they'll look cool if they do. And then once the person is hooked, that;s it. Same reason why girls think they have to be a size 0 or look like a Barbie doll to be 'cool'.

  • I just watched this in health today and she started smoking at age 10

  • @mecteck11 i watched the movie in health class today and it said she died at 31. either way, it's a sad tragedy that could have been prevented. but the sad truth is that people won't stop smoking as long as tobacco exists.

  • i love how everyone says its the tobacco companys fault that someones mother died or there husband died. but nobody says "its not like the tobacco company put the cigarette in your mouth, your the one who wanted to smoke"

  • actually she did not die at age 31 she did not make it even to her 30th i know this because i watched this movie in health class and it was very sad rest in peace and people do not smoke because you can see right now what happen to her and the tobbaco people still see what happened to her and other people but they still keep making them.
