A taste of riding in Peru, riding thru the remote northern Andean regions going from the ruined fortress of Kuelap, near Chachapoyas through the Cloud Forest route to Celendin, near Cajamarca.
This is the only road, the main road connecting remote parts of the region. A beautiful ride through some untouched landscapes.

Filmed with a GoPro HD camera.

Part of my 2 year trip around Latin America and Africa.

  • Yikes! Those drops are freaky. Did you ever encounter any vehicles coming the other way? I noticed you blew your horn at least once coming up on a blind corner. Love the dog in the road at 6:21.

  • @jchnp7 I encountered only about 3 vehicles all day and most were driving very cautiously, except that one crazy taxi driver towards the end :/

  • nice! i would be taking it slow too. omfg i get so freaked out my sheer drops

  • @rljetsetradio Yup, I call that zero tolerance riding, can not afford a fall sine it would almost certainly mean death! take it slow and make it to the end.

  • It looks so weird. The helmet is in the exact same position, while everything else is moving :p Nice video. Really cool road you're driving on :p and very beautiful landscape :) thumbs up

  • @TokiThor I know, strange perspective with a helmet camera :)

  • I'm in awe and jealous simultaneously. Thanks for giving me an idea for a great (and hopefully upcoming) adventure.

    Beautiful footage!

  • buen video...saludos y buenas rutas.

  • @RGVCripted You can go with more street oriented tires like the MT60. That's what I found and used for LatAm. I like 50/50 tires, they allow you do everything, not perfectly, but you can do it all. I also like the Kenda K270 and the Heidenau K60.
