It's an expression bubba. Other folks have done credible jobs I personally like this one also "when will I be loved". et al, etc. ...and, by the way I love the Everly Bros. have since @1955. This song is more Linda Then Phil and Don. That's my story.
I think I may own every extant version of Silver Threads ?

This is an oldie. I believe it was written back in the 50s. One version said mend, another said patch, and this one says tie. To each his own, Thank you, Cosel79 for sending this our way.

This is a favorite song. I've never heard this version though I think I could listen to this all day, couldn't you? Thanks, Cosel79. This is gooood singing here.
