2.5 post hysto, 3 years 2 months on t (80mg weekly), and 2 years and a few months post top surgery.
the books i reference are: body alchemy by loren cameron and the other authors are kate bornstein and leslie feinberg. great stuff to check out! (and i know i make it sound like i've just learned or had revelations about what gender is, but of course i have known for quite some time - more simply stated, a lot of transgender theory proposes interesting ways of reflecting/looking at gender/transitions, and while i think the embodied, lived experience is indeed more powerful than theory, they are definitely interesting and great to check out as resources and gave me many intriguing thoughts and ideas about my own identity :])

it would involve gender if i felt that my ovaries/uterus did not match my gender identity - but thats not the case as i couldnt've cared less about them existing, i didnt feel they made me less of a man, etc etc. i got the hysterectomy because of pain, cysts, potential endometriosis, and overactive ovaries - symptoms, which, may have been exacerbated by testosterone therapy, but that is debatable and unknown.

my insurance finally covered the hospital bill (which was 13,000) and we're still waiting to hear about the rest - unfortunately, i no longer have that insurance but thankfully i did when i had the hysto :/ the problem is the cost can range from 5,000 to 40,000 depending on where in the country you go, which is totally ridiculous! if you google your area and the average cost, you may get a better idea..

shouldn't the eternal question be: is this person happy?

In the 2 plus years I have been watching your videos, until today, I never once posted a comment. Just so you know, you are one of the guys that helped me along in my own transition, gave me courage and hope in ways you will never know. Somewhere in my videos, I thanked all you young guys on YouTube for making these videos. You really are a beautiful spirit. Don't ever doubt or forget that son... Thank you for being you....

@avafrav Well I think that if you think medial terminology is too misogynistic then you are way too sensitive
