@ClaireConrad "a man and a woman co-leading"? Not at all unusual: in the south I've known many couples that habitually lead together. That's me and my wife leading--we'd already led other songs separately, but the officers invited us to lead again together, since we'd traveled some distance to get there.

@PLBrayfield OK, I will try to remember that I've already said this.
There is something in the others' comments about wishing the words did not cover up the leader's face, so one person noticed.
I didn't mean put the words in the comment section, but rather, in the caption underneath the video. That always stays there and is accessible to anyone who wants it.
Thanks for posting.

@contentandcontext There are singings in Pennsylvania. Check fasola.org.

@MissScarlet23 You, too, can do this. It just takes going to singing after singing until you get it. In the meantime, you discover a whole community of friends.

@pekoe67 So maybe it isn't just the cold wave of air passing through this room!? Very interesting to have a man and a woman co-leading. It might not be traditional, but I really like it. If only the superimposed text didn't obscure my view of their faces!

This is hauntingly beautiful. I agree... the faith once delivered. To have it delivered again!
I'd like your videos a lot better without the words pasted over the video. How about putting them in the comment section under the video instead?
It feels like I've made this comment before, but I can't remember when.

@MarthaH605 You have made the comment before. I appreciate the feedback, but of the many who have commented on the addition of words, you are the only one so far who has objected to them.
'Arnold' was the first of my videos that I added this feature. Since making it, I have new features on my software and have found ways to make the words less intrusive on the image. Whatever is put in the comment section moves further downward every time a new comment is added, so would not work for lyrics.

I wish I was this talented....I love Sacred Harp singers.

I wonder how many of the singers in this group once thought they 'weren't talented'? One of the beauties of Sacred Harp singing, I have found, is that anyone who wants to may sit in the 'hollow square' at one of these singings, and learn to sing 'by immersion,' so to speak. I have found Sacred Harp singers to be a sort of nationwide 'community' that welcomes both the beginner and the more experienced with open arms.
Thank you for your comment.
