Scene adapted from Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex," Yeats' translation. Oedipus meets with the seer Teiresias, seeking the old man's aid in uncovering the murderer(s) of Thebes' previous king, Laius. Unknown to Oedipus, Oedipus is himself the murderer he seeks, and his arrogance and refusal to accept the truth ultimately cause his downfall.
