Jason Lazarus, a financial planner from Orlando, FL, explains the differences between Medicaid and Medicare. He also explains how a brain or spinal cord injury survivor can determine if the qualify for either service.
Medicaid is a money pit for States because its an Unfunded Mandate that has to be paid by States. Out of General Revenue. Medicaid and Medicare have to be reformed because of how expensive they are.
I am a quadraplegic, and I have been receiving SSDI for about two years now. I just received Medicare information about a week ago. I was wondering if it was feasible in carrying both Medicaid and Medicare. As most I live on a very limited income, I am 42 years of age, and also have two small school age children. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for your time.
