I can't believe one silly comment generated so much flak. For all you "roots" people, the music originates in Africa. To call it "Southern", just speaks to where the bandmembers are from.

I simply only wondered why people referred to this as "Southern Rock". No big deal. I think the main point is that the music is good. So what if it comes from Patagonia?

Jeff Cease was the original guitarist to accompany the Crowes on "Shake your Money Maker", he was from Tennessee. But He only Played on their first album. He was replaced by Marc Ford for The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion, Amorica and Three Snakes, then Audley Freed replaced him for "By Your Side" and Lions. The current guitarist is Luther Dickenson from the North Mississippi Allstars.
