Sound track was called "Growing Up Catholic"
-
@xPhalx The Catholic Church was anti-Semitic during the 40s

this song makes me cry, this one and the one with amnesia when she remembers who she is and gets ready to leave.

This song is intended to evoke nostalgia and a bittersweet feeling. It's not a surprise that it's touching. Also, a few songs in Chorus Line have the same theme/intention ("At the Ballet" and "Hello Twelve, Hello Thirteen, Hello Love" specifically come to mind.), so I can see k32murray13's point.

This is seriously my favorite song from the show. I used this as an audition piece a lot.

I've just been cast as Robert Anne in a production and a large part of my excitement is because of this song. It is so beautiful.

I love this whole musical but this song is my favorite! When we did it at my school, the girl who played this part did such a good job with this song.

I get to play Sister Mary Leo for my school's production of Nunsense! I'm so excited!
-
This song reminds me of A Chorus Line for something
-
I directed this play once :)
I don't know exactly why but this song always touches me. I don't know the name of the woman who sang what I think of as "Saint Claire's" oh, it has to be almost 18 years ago, but she touched my heart. I can still hear her voice; I still love the song. Thank you so much for posting it.
