  • What is the difference between swimming with a normal monofin and the lunocet monofin??

  • @Loupgaroux92

The Normal Monofin I use is flexible and is really good for slow speed free dives and I love it because I really use less energy...It took me a week to get use to Monofining!

The Lunocet really is a fast flipper to use but will burn you of energy if you go very very fast.

That is where it really shines but other than that I cannot say anymore as I am gaining more experience using it....I think more training is required ...You should already be a pro Monofiner if you get it!

  • @sanddragon99 So is the monfin better than usual double fins then? Im thinking of getting one for my dive in Cyprus :)

  • @iPurpleGalaxyi

I cannot answer that if You have never tried a Monofin... Some people actually are not very skilled or in shape for a standard Monofin.

If you are a good Monofin swimmer then the Lunocet is for you!

  • put some ankle weights on it

  • @sanddragon99 Thank you! I will get one and try it out :)

    Thanks again pal!

  • So cool. Hey, you know I'd like to see? Some sort of synchronized swimming event using these. They wouldn't be doing all of those intricate leg positions, but they might do stylish leaps and such. Would be interesting.

  • you know, you'll go a hell of a lot faster if you streamline your arms while keeping your head down and use less of your legs and more of your hips to kick, jus say'in

  • @0HippyHunter0 I am more experienced with the traditional Monofin so If I had to put my life on the line and choose one I would go with my Finis brand...I am though curious about the Russian "Hyper"...LUNOCET is fast but draws way too much required energy ant thus burns up my oxygen while deep diving, and I may also not be correctly doing the Monofin kick so the Finis forgives me by compensating via flexible blade.

  • @sanddragon99 So, you're saying that traditional swimming is more sustainable while the Lunocet isn't.
