Perhaps you missed the news report where they mentioned that the gas prices have not been gaged on supply and demand recently. It was sort of a big news item for a while.

Yes gas price hikes are manufactured by OPEC, and through speculation, but they are also effected by supply and demand.
If you think supply and demand has no bearing on the price of gas at all, then you're the one who's ignorant.

We are in a recession. Gas prices are rising due to greed not due to supply and demand. To even argue this point makes me think you are rich or ignorant. We must address the issues. That is my point. Gas prices are rising rapidly for no reason. Who is behind that? Why did not one representative speak up about the $4 per gallon price? Law/policy does not inspire transportation options. They created a dependency on something they are arbitrary about providing.

Yes gas is higher than it used to be, but that's not the point...
Look at any historical chart and you'll see that gas prices always rise during the summer months. Certainly not to the 4+ dollars a gallon that they were last summar, but they do rise consistently most years.

Yes it is summer and the fact that you need to curse and call names shows who you are. In the 70's and 80's gas prices did not rise like they do now. Gas prices used to stay relatively the same. It was 69 cents for a long time, then various other prices. But only in the last 8 or so years has gas fluctuated similar to the fluctuation of the stock market. In fact, it really went crazy after 911. Don't get used to abuse and lies. See it for what it is.

When I was growing up, if they did go up, they did not increase as much as they do now. Gas was 69 cents for years. Then it was a dollar or less for years. Please don't get used to confusion, illusion and abuse - it is not natural.

We are seeing the beginning of the end of Obama. Obama is destroying the Democrat party. According to Rasmussen Reports, in a generic poll Republicans beat Democrats 43% to 38%. Google Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot and see for yourself. This is a huge turnaround for Republicans. People are fighting mad. And it is not just the Republicans either. Obama is a loser who will destroy the entire country if he stays is office!

Things are getting much worse. I voted for Obama but I'm disappointed in him.
