Canción de 1963 y puesto 5 en las listas de EE.UU.

One fine day
You'll look at me
And you will know
Our love was meant to be
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl

The arms I long for
Will open wide
And you'll be proud
To have me by your side
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl

(Bridge:)
Though I know you're the kind of boy
Who only wants to run around
I'll keep waiting and someday, darling
You'll come to me
When you want to settle down, oh

One fine day
We'll meet once more
And then you'll want
The love you threw away before
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl

  • Wonderful- damn they were sweet girls. Miss them. Miss the times. I was in grade 11 when this came out- sock hops in the gym, line dancing- we were so cool- or thought we were- ducktails, grease, pickle stabber shoes, white t shirts with your deck of cigs tucked up the sleeve- Bandstand, acne, raging hormones and air brushed Playboy's. Sigh.

Miss it all. Hope the kids today are having as much fun, though I doubt it.

Is the teen music still fun for them? Hope so.

  • there has always been music for the 'now generation'. we all grow up rememebring the music of our youth. the music of today will be remembered by today's younger generation as they age. it will always be this way. music constantly evolves and thank goodness for that. for some great pop songs look up aussie groups bag raiders, pnau, gortye, cut copy and empire of the sun. there are also some great pop groups in the UK.

  • Love this music, as I said. I owned a dress, exactly like those, probably different fabric and less costly. I was a size ten, then, 60's and 70's . Stuff changes.

  • we singing this in my choir class :D

  • :) including the toes ;)

  • It makes me happy

  • i can't stop playing it sound so good in my ears

  • remake

  • @AlliSam54 -- Gee, I thought some of Carole King's recordings in the early 70s were okay. Sure, she's no Linda Ronstadt or Diana Ross but she has a pleasant voice.

  • @WytZox1 and in the end no one pays attention to it. Its up to us to keep Rock N Roll alive.

  • @NostalgicTimeMan -- And it's always the really good shows on PBS that constantly interrupted for pledge drives. And they have the gall to tell us how lucky we are to have PBS showing commercial free programs. Hey! I'd rather see a 1 minute commercial for Coca Cola than 20 minutes of begging for money.

  • @WytZox1 Oh I know that's so retarded. There is not enough respect for Rock N Roll. That and of course every other sponsorship/pledge they do.
