In High Stakes, rock music was dropped in favor of modern, linear electronic music. Interactive music feature (including pursuit music) was also dropped. In addition, themed tracks were no longer used, with the playlist randomizing any racing music on any circuit. On the console, the popup in the corner of the screen would show to signify the beginning of new track, along with some track information.
