Heron G-AORG runs up all four engines under floodlights and in rain, at an Air Atlantique "Night running evening" at Coventry airport in the UK on 13th December 2009.

  • In 1979 I served as Director of Stations for Swift Aire Lines in San Luis Obispo, Ca. and at that time we operated three (3) of the DH-114 Herons. I spent a great deal of time flying up & down California in the Heron, we operated them with 15 seats (7 per side plus 1 centered in the back). Our motors were 230 HP Lycoming with 2-blade screws, no A/C in that plane and it got HOT flying in the CA. Valley during summertime. It was all quite an experience.
