Join us for the Ultimate Fandango this July 2010!

Fandango, my all time favorite movie. A film about friendship, growing up, and how things change with time.

This is a video I put together with screenshots, a few video clips, and several photos I took. From March 2 to March 5 2007 a friend and I drove all over west Texas visiting several of the locations where Fandango was filmed. This film has meant a lot to me for over 20 years now. Not a lot of people seem to know of this film, but most who do really cherish it. It was an amazing experience to see all these locations in person. If you haven't seen it, check it out!

  • If there ARE any more events or the like PLEASE contact me ...

    gojiramonkey@hotmail.co.uk Thanks !!!

  • @gojiramonkey Yes! We are planning another trip for July 2013. Come to the website at ultimatefandango dot c om.

  • My father and I went on a road trip to all of the sites in this movie. It was so fun! Now, the train scene, where it is on the website... Is actually wrong. :3 There's a dip, about half a mile down from the spot where everyone thinks it's at. My father and I found wire and hunks of plaster-concrete stuff from the Mclain Massacre sign. There is also a rock that's in the movie... :D It was so fun, we are doing it again this year.

  • @BBAlover1997 You should come to our message board at the website. I don't think anyone has mentioned the location you're talking about.

  • I watched this movie about 10 times when it first hit HBO. I finally talked my sister into watching too and at the end she says "that was the dumbest movie I've ever seen". Go figure...

  • @scogrig Yeah this movie definitely appeals more to guys than women.

  • Captured a moment in time. I bet kids graduating from college today can't quite have experiences like this. First of all there are probably no Trumans in the world today...

  • one of my fave films... what a terrific tribute... very cool, man... great job... thanks so much for sharing this :)

  • @tk848 thank you very much for the response and the GREAT news !!! I have had a quick recce of the UF site and it is INCREDIBLE !!! I thought, THOUGHT I was a fan HOWEVER I had NO idea about those deleted scenes !!! WOW !!! I'm gonna start saving up RIGHT NOW (in this economy, i'll need to !!) and I gotta go now but i'll be back on the UF site and here for sure. Thank-you again for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it bud. Feel free to holler at me ANY time you are a legend !

  • I am ashamed to say that it NEVER occured to dumb ol' gojiramonkey to seek out the locations ...OK there ARE across the sea but..NO EXCUSE...this IS Fandango, after all...Is there a Fan Club or such like, cos I am IN !!! I remember the Repo Man director Alex Cox talking about Rumblefish (another great) and he said something like "When the bomb goes off and the survivors are living in a cave , this is the type of film that will forever be played on walls ..." Sums up Fandango perfectly...

  • I am from the UK and it has been one of my ALL TIME favourite films since the late 80's/early 90's and a battered VHS copy off the TV was all I has until about a year ago when I found a UK region compatible copy on the internet so I bought two !! I have lost count of the amount of times me and my friends have watched it...Just tremendous...from the brilliant opening credits ( LOVE that spider !!) to the toast silhouette TOTAL QUALITY !!! WHY it has never had a UK release BEGGARS BELIEF !!!

  • I've seen this movie at least 40 times since 1985 with my best friend, who was Gardner and I was Phil...... at 43 this movie exemplifies the life I had, always wanted and still long for.......

  • @tk848 Actually I think my dad has said something on the site.... Either that or he's being a jerk and keeping it to himself :3 But i'll let him know he should get it out there. :)
