On the strength of these comments I've just cancelled a 4 day family trip to Cork. It's lucky I took the decision to take a deeper look before booking. I live in Leeds where loads of Irish people live, they're always treated with the up most of respect. But I've often found the Irish back home have a massive attitude problem with us English, shame. I'll now go spend the money you all so desperately need somewhere else.

I live in Saskatchewan where we too are holding down the south. nicest people you'll ever meet and also the toughest. Cork is where I would go if I went to Ireland.

and, to add insult to injury,why do people refer to our island as "IRELAND AND NORTHERN IRELAND"? are there two irelands? they make it sound as if Northern Ireland wasn't irish at all. I WOULDN'T MIND BUT ULSTER IS OUR OLDEST COLONY. but how do you tell t hat to a bunch of THICKS in the South?
