You can't have any flame in side your cooker . You have to starve the fire to eliminate flame completely. Flame will burn the CO into CO2 and H2O . H2O and CO2 doesn't burn when it comes out of your burner at the blower. The CO on your meter is 33 PPM You need it much Higher to make CO burn. Plus too much air getting by the burning wood.

I agree. Too much o2. same principle with a cutting torch.... if it will, infact, burn with that much air, you will have to slow it down and work upto it.

Try lighting it farther away from the exhaust nozzle.

Did you get it going? I agree with barontak - less air and use a torch to light it. But I've never done this before.
Esta bacan!

put more wood chips.
use less air,and use a torch
-
you need to add more wood.
and cut down on the air, also use a torch.
don't use matches
-
u have too many air.
u need to put way more wood inside and reduce the sucking.
good luck

I have to agree with baron the radiator should not make a diffrence as wood gas will ignite hot or cold

Here are my comments: #1 increase the amount of fuel. Add much more wood. #2 Reduce the speed of the drill motor. I think you are drawing too much air into the unit. This is diluting the combustible gases. #3 Use a propane torch for ignition. Matches are not good enough. #4 Your videos are very good. I like them very much. Please try again.

Maybe you have too much moisture (steam) in your gas. I saw another gasifier video that said this was a problem for lighting flare. Try bubbling gas through water to condense steam. If this works you will need to improve your cooler.
