I don't see why there is any need for a United Kingdom. Britain could be one country or three, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that those countries be free and democratic. As long as there were no restrictions on trade or commerce I don't see why the U.K. has to exist. Let the English, Welsh & Scots find their own destinies.

What I can't understand is the friction between English and Scottish nationalists. Do we not want the same thing for similar reasons?

How would the split up of the union benefit anything but nationalism? We're all better off united as a single country, not least of which because of economic reasons.

I do thoroughly agree with the idea that we should have our own devolved Parliament. It's loopy that Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, etc. all have their own representative bodies and that we don't.

A good video that highlights the terrible, corrupt, broken down state our political system is in. The politicians have lied to us for decades by taking us down a road of european intergration that nobody asked for and no one bar a handful of facists seem happy with. The English should support the case for scottish independance, as it is a way for us achieving our own independance. More and more the only argument from the new labour camp is to throw juvenile insults which is no argument at all.
