@k12rising i'm sorry if a statement that is consistent with the teachings of the new testament is unintelligent to you. Christians believe that one can only be saved through Jesus Christ. But, they are conflicted when it comes to the jews. There isn't a disclaimer in the New Testament that exempt the jews from this notion of salvation. You can't spin your way out of that one... You're gonna have to tell them that they're gonna burn in hell if they don't believe that Jesus is the messiah.
It would have been good to answer that no one goes to heaven or hell based on their race. I have heard this asked before and the Christian usually falls into the trap of accepting the question as it is phrased.
This sure sounds like a debate I saw online a few years ago..between a well known Christian and a well known Jew, but I don't recall their names. The Jew did flat out ask the Christian, do you think I am going to hell (or all Jews are going to hell) and the Christian said yes and the Jewish guy just went off! I was shocked at his ranting and ravings and lost total respect for him, though I wasn't pleased with the Christians answers and he should have expounded as you suggest on here.
Good point about Hitchens..I ask my atheist friends all the time why they are so angry...I tell them from my perspective that my working definition of an atheist is really a hacked off agnostic with his middle finger up in the air toward something he doesn't believe in...despair and meanness seems to be a recurring theme with many atheists I have come in contact with..

@beenn15 that was an unintelligent comment.

why is it so difficult to say that, "Yes ALL JEWS ARE GOING TO HELL BECAUSE THEY DON'T BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE MESSIAH"
He's trying so hard to put a positive spin on it as to not offend the jews...
