go to your local peavey dealer and get a new ca. The word on the street is that peavey really screwed the sound up.. i think i believe it. smells like peavey.

You make a rational decision about a $2000 dollar by going and playing one.. I drove for 3 hrs in hell traffic to try several models. All rationalism goes out the door in a guitar store. Not a one buzzed. The only buzz was my credit card going through the machine. I am/was a hard core Martin fan. And not entry level stuff. If you live or gig in zero degree to extra dry climates forget your $3000 Martin. The tone and playability on these will make you forget rationalism too. Good Luck.
At 4:36 what is this song friend ,,,is it doc watson ,,,thankyou you are an amazing guitar player ...peace ,, nice ax too..

Thanks. Good ear on that tune. It's the classic fingerstyle piece, "WIndy and Warm". Doc and Merle Watson did record this one.

I have this guitar. It's a good one. But I heard that CA may have gone out of business.....

Apparently CA has indeed closed their doors. There's lot's of speculation about whether they'll re-emerge in a different business model, perhaps owned by another company. We're all hoping these fine guitars don't just go away.

Well, I just checked and CA still seems to be out of business. Their website says "under maintenance". I ended up selling the baritone and putting heavy strings on my CA GX performer, tuning it down to C standard. It handles that very well, has upper neck access and mid-range definition, which I did struggle with a bit on the CA baritone. But I'm mainly finger-style. How about your own experience with the Baritone?
