Beware of the "Embrace Extend and Extinguish" tactics by Microsoft. (Look it up on Wikipedia). Microsoft is not laughing and ridiculing Linux anymore as a unprofessional hobby project. Linux runs everything from your cell phone to the worlds most powerful supercomputers. One exception are the desktop where Microsoft dominates. Thanks to incompetent leadership and dumbed down user interfaces Microsoft is loosing market share here as well. Limited and Lockin is not synonymous with business anymore

Would be interesting to see one singe piece of code from MS "contribution" that didn's screw up something in Open Source. I have my doubts that this will be a long relationship.
