Behind the Scenes of ABC's Castle

Get ready to dip your pen in blood! Carbonated.TV is on the set of ABC's hit primetime show "Castle," and we have the inside scoop on the cast's Halloween plans, the new season, and the truth about what it's like to work on the comedic murder mystery show.

We had the lovely privilege of seeing Nathan Fillion ("Richard Castle") and Stana Katic ("Kate Beckett") in detective mode as they prepare to solve yet another case. The hot tension between these two continues to grow and tease viewers. Executive Producer Andrew Marlowe explains that the show hinges on that relationship, and the show is careful not to reveal them as "together" prematurely. In other words, prepare yourself for one long season, Castle-attics!

But beyond the script, the dynamic on set is the same as it on the show. Castle deals with the dense issues of murder, but the cast refuses to let the show's despondent focus bring them down. Jon Huertas ("Javier Esposito") reveals that while doing ride-a-longs with homicide detectives, "these guys did not lighten up with a joke....they couldn't handle it. I saw a dead body; I would deal with it. But if I have a funny joke to tell, I have a funny joke to tell. What do you do?"

The delectable Tamala Jones ("Lani Parish") is all about joking on set and reveals her tendency to play with the props (aka cadavers). She did dispel seriously though that her character and Esposito may develop a romance this season! But don't worry, Kevin Ryan will be getting some love too! The wife of Seamus Dever ("Kevin Ryan") will return to set and play his girlfriend. So much juice, so little time! You'll have to watch the video to hear the Castle crew's Halloween plans and see why working at their precinct is so much more fun than others (cough CSI Miami cough).
