  • Yea that's the only reason I got to go because the mcconnell tanker parked on the fingers got fod'd out by a b1. We were supposed to be a ground spare. Thanks b1 for getting me out of the 'deid for a week so I could go to sig, and watch mt etna errupt. We had to shut an engine down so got to stay a while waiting on the part. Volcanic ash helped us out.

  • @moozey32 hahaha awesome, you were on that wisconsin tail then, i remember watching ya'll taxi by us, pissed as hell because we weren't even supposed to be in the deid in the first place...only reason we were there was dhafra was socked in the night before....stupid fog, and stupid b1 pilots

  • I feel like I was part of that coronet. In fact I know I was. We took them to Sigonella after they left UAE. They had the raised spine... It was about a year and a half ago.

  • @moozey32 they went from UAE straight to spain i though...could be wrong...i was on the tanker that got fod'd out by an F'n B1...so we skipped sig and went straight to moron

  • I don't remember what tail it was.. thanks for getting us a vacation from the desert though..

  • They didn't say thank you!

  • I just wanna jump out of the plane into those fluffy clouds........... and nice video

  • @r1cw we have but we dont use it

  • @dereklsept Makes sense, I live in Riverside, CA close to March A.R.B. They have the 135's there, heck they have as long as I can remember. Since the 70's at least... March used to have KC-10's a few years back too but I think they left when all the re-alignments & closures took place. Now its just C-17's, 135's and a few F-16's.

  • @r1cw I'm fairly certain they don't...boom tankers aren't very widely proliferated and there's only the kc-10 kc-135, kc-767 that are operational with booms (as best as i can recall)...the 767 i think only japan and italy own those (america finally settled to start getting those by 2017)...135's a few countries have (singapore, france, america and maybe one or two more)....and 10's i think maybe 3 countries have...its a much better system than probe and drogue for passing fuel quickly
