Watch Video Carefully. Click on the Start button, All programs, Accessories, Entertainment and then select "Sound Recorder"

First Use Edit tab and Options to select which audio source to record like mic or from Stereo mix or from CD. Then run the video or audio you want to record from using Windiws Media Player. Now Press the "Record Sound" button the Windows Sound Recorder. You have a sound recorded. Every sound or audio that is produced in your Sound speakers are being recorded excluding your mic. If you select mic then your other sounds do not get recorded. So depending on what source you selected for audio input, your sound recorded will record the audio at the highest quality.

Stop when you finish and then save the file with a name where ever you want. You can also change the format to .WAV or MP3 etc. The quality of audio you save will depend what setting for saving you select.

Once you have saved your audio you can open it and add more audio to the recorded sound by pressing the record button and you have more editing options like increasing your audio volume, reduce volume and even add echo effects which give amazing quality to your audio recorded.

  • This function doesn't exist on my computer.

  • @VulcanXL In you task bar on the right bottom find the speaker icon. Right click on it and select play back devices. You will find all the options there.

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, then you will see the Sound dialogbox poping up when you select playback devices. In that playback devices dialog box just right click and see if "Show Disabled Devices" is selected. Only then will you get all the devices option.

thanks for viewing the Windows Sound Recorder Video
