  • Sharp: "Where in the constitution does it give you the authority..."

    Hare: ""I don't know. I don't know..."

I would have liked to have followed that up with: "Well shouldn't you know? Isn't that your job?"

This has been going on for a long time now, if he had time to read the bill 3 times (as he states in the full video) then why didn't he have time to figure that out?

    Jackpot indeed.

  • That huge cheeseburger stuck in his aorta caused him not only to confuse the constitution with the declaration of independence. It also morphed the commerce clause into the LACK of intra-state commerce clause.

If it's going to swear to uphold the constitution, it would be appreciated if he actually read it and not just pay lip service.

  • Where in the constitution is theft legalized under the pretense of health insurance? Since when is capitalism about "getting the most profit for providing the worst service"?

Yet we put too much faith in conservatives to understand basic logic, HMOs can't work in a capitalistic manner, so the Gov't has to step in.

Only people to have a right to complain about health care are those who pay out of pocket. Any complaint against gov't healthcare applies ten fold to the private sector

  • Adam Sharp is a fucking dick head.

  • LOL @ you idiots falling for Sharp's BS. Drink the Kook-Aid.

  • This so indicative of the typical elite Progressive Liberal arrogance and they will pay in the next election or 2.

  • Neither have you the capacity to understand the Constitution, nor have the honesty and firmness to be guided by it. In either case you are not the man to represent me.

  • @ukyopak You alluded to the constitutional reference to the general welfare, and you mentioned how various people have tried to implement a national system of health care. What you didn't do was answer my question about do you know why no one was ever successful in doing such a thing? What possible reason could there be that would defeat such a noble idea? Could it be that some people don't want a huge government entity interfering with every aspect of their lives? Think about it.

  • @ukyopak By the way. The food you choose to eat will soon be like the new health care system too. Bad cholesterol will be twxed, heavily. Sugar drinks will be heavily taxed. The Nanny state will decide what is good for you to eat and drink, and they will regulate accordingly..

Oh, and about those food companies. Do you know what is in your food? Do you know what kind of pesticides are used, and hormones are used, and additives are used? Those nast food companies are the same as health providers.

  • @ukyopak Hmmm. Did anyone force you to buy food?

I say you get what you pay for. There are "good" policies, and "bad" policies. The good ones cost more than the bad ones. One truism in American culture is that no one can afford all the insurance they need, no matter how much money they have.

But, I am sure you feel this new health care is an equalizer, a redistribution of wealth, if you will. I wouldn't mind if everyone was wealthy, Lived on Nob Hill in SF. Drove a new Bentley.

  • @TAMARLANE I didn't justify anything, I just said that the concept of "providing general welfare" is in the Constitution as one of the enumerated powers of Congress. And, since at least teddy roosevelt there have been attempts to create a national health care.

  • @TAMARLANE food producers and farmers make food, I purchase it at the store. When I decide what food I want, I go to the store and buy it. When I go to the register, i get what I paid for at a marked price. Are you telling me that kind of transparency exists with insurance companies? Do you get what you pay for? Do you know what you are paying for? Don't insurance companies decide for you what medical care you need.
