In November of 2005, soldiers of Task Force Phoenix in Afghanistan distributed winter clothes, shoes, school supplies, and toys to 700 children in an Afghan Orphanage in Kabul. There are over 10,000 children in orphanages in Afghanintan, though almost 80% have at least one living parent who hasn't the means to support tham.
I Lived there from 1992-1996. It was a great place. But the water to take a shower or wash our cloths were rare.

The soccer feild was a great place even though the did not have grass at all and there were a lots of rocks on the feild. Every afternoon we played soccer there. That was the fun part of the day. I think the still has those problems. I hope the people who can help, should help those kids. They need u all.

I and a Canadian journalist visited this orphanage in 1996 when Taliban had just took over Kabul and everything was in a mess,The destiny of orphanage was unclear,we interviewed a couple of orphans they were realy sad I did not have any news of orphanage since 1996 I am glad to see this small step from Americans which has huge benifits to Afghan orphans.

Beautiful video. I'd like to say thank you to all of the people that were involved in this event and brought a smile to a young Afghan orphan's face. And thanks to all of our American troops serving there in my native country, and serving well. : )
