Richard Sanford of Alma Rosa Winery in Santa Barbara County discusses his famous certified organic Burgundy Style Wines. Filmed by Deborah Gavito, owner of Counter Restaurant in NYC.
Had the opportunity and pleasure of seeing Mr. Sanford at a special wine dinner in downtown Los Angeles several years ago, where his lineup of organically sustained wines were paired nicely with a four course dinner. I learned so much in his presentation, and appreciated his easy going style and unpretentious personalitly. His Sta Rita Hills Pinot Noir is absolutely delicious!
Having been acquinted with Rich Sanford for over 40 years, I cannot think of a more honest and straight forward gentleman. He and his wife, Thekla, produce their special organic wines, to the highest standards and taste. The Sanfords are only producing the Alma Rosa vintage wines as of now. So if you are in the Buellton area, stop by and say "HOWDY" and enjoy some of the finest fruits of the vines produced anywhere, grapes are grown.
Seriously? BigSulla, that is a ignorant response to a genius of his art. Instead of asking what the wine would pair well with, why don't you taste the different varietals that he produces and experience it yourself. Adjectives are just a start, and that is what that particular person experiences. So just learn about the wine, the grape, the location and climate, and then give your own thoughts

I apologize. I was frankly quite drunk that night and sleepy. Sorry for the rude comment. Its not my style.
