Even before Alexis was born, she was diagnosed with a foot deformity known as clubfoot. Her parents sought treatment with pediatric orthopedic specialist Dr. Matthew Dobbs, a leader in clubfoot clinical treatment and research at St. Louis Children's Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. Clubfoot is treated with much success using a specific non-surgical method known as the Ponseti Method of casting and serial bracing. Alexis' mom Kate, tells her story.
