do you have any suggestions on using the janome sew machine? I can't get the "loop" and if i do get it, the thread from needle keeps poping out! HELP!

the stitch you are doing for the ruffle is called the running stitch or Gathering stitch love your bags I love making all kinds of things like that

an overlocker is good for making ruffles

its very quick

I too am a beginner and scrap more than sewing but your tutorials have me dusting off my machine again :)
