Alabama is a red state that did not vote for Obama as a result they stand no chance of getting Federal assistance. The Obama administration is more interested in helping foreign countries than our own people. If this had been George Busch the Democrats would be screaming bloody murder. I guess Tuscaloosa needs a Mayor like Ray Nagin to scream and holler that the streets of Tuscaloosa will be chocolate again.

The Obama administration chased the media to Alabama and left as soon as interest faded.
I've been helping people deal with FEMA and all they're getting is a "FEMA number" and "we'll call you" messages. These people have no place to go.
Even worse is the people that were responsible enough to pay for their own insurance. FEMA won't touch them and their insurance companies are low balling them.

I can't imagine anyone living in that shithole Joplin remaining behind. The city will never be the same.
As for Tuscaloosa, I'm more saddened by the destruction. Not even the black folks will vote for Obama next time around here, but it is much too high a cost to learn this lesson.

When someone claims they're gonna help everybody as a campaign slogan, they're full of shit. They'll help nobody. I wish that politicians had a fuckin' spine these days and would admit the track record of their policies and propensities to damage communities.
