Is this one of the first muscle cars on the Market? Tthese 1964 Studebaker cars were screamers. This was the second year that Studebaker offered Avanti 289 Engines in all of their models. Like the 57 Golden Hawks and 63 Avantis, these cars were fast. David E. Davis's of Car & Drivers magazine, prediction of Studebaker cars of the future seems a bit off.
Studebaker's best year. I love the looks of the whole Studebaker line for '64. Avanti is still one of best looking cars ever. The GT Hawk is stunning. And I'd love to own a '64 Daytona convertible. Make mine with the R1 Avanti engine.

If you everf get a chance to visit South Bend Indiana, there is a beautiful Super Lark in the Studebaker Museum. That car is still new with less than 50 miles on it. It's got the supercharged engine, four speed, posi, and radio delete. It's also red on red. Awesome car to see.

When the Car & Driver editor looks up at 1:23 I nearly pissed myself laughing. That's pure comedy right there... Anyways, thanks for posting this video :-)
